VOGHERA FILM FESTIVAL BANDO 2021

The association Iria Cultura presents the 9th edition of the Voghera Film Festival.

VFF intend to promote the knowledge and spreading of the cinema and to be an important meeting point for international cinematographers.

Rules & Terms

1- It is possible to present your works at the VFF from 1st January 2021, until 30th June 2021
The festival is divided into three categories:

• SHORT FILMS
Short films of up to 30 minutes in any genre (fiction, animation, documentary ...) and language, provided that subtitles are provided in Italian or English.

• SHORT HORROR FILMS
Short films of up to 30 minutes in any genre and language are allowed, provided that subtitles are provided in Italian or English.

• SHORT SCREENPLAYS
the screenplays can be of any cinematographic genre and must not exceed thirty pages.
(maximum 30 pages) The screenplays must be presented in Italian or English.

2- An international jury composed of personalities from the world of culture and cinema will award the following prizes:

• SANDRO BOLCHI AWARD - Best director
• BEST SHORT FILM
• BEST HORROR
• BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY
• BEST CHANGE
• BEST SOUNDTRACK
• BEST ACTOR
• BEST ACTRESS
• PUBLIC AWARD
• BEST SCREENPLAY

Voghera Film festival is an IMDB qualification festival

3- Works of any kind will be admitted and recorded on any medium.
The films that will be selected must have Italian subtitles for the screening (our staff is available to help the authors with translations in Italian)
Each author can present more than one work.

4- To present their works, candidates can:

• Use FILMFREEWAY, CLICKFORFESTIVAL, FESTHOME indicated on the website www.vogherafilmfestival.com

• Subscribe to the films directly from the website www.vogherafilmfestifal.com following the instructions.

5- For every single work presented, it is mandatory to make a donation using PayPal (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) or, as indicated on the dedicated web platforms, proceed as follows:
FOR SHORT MOVIE / HORROR / SCREENPLAY

• Dal 01/01/2021 al 28/02/2021: 15 euro

• Dal 01/03/2021 al 31/04/2021: 25 euro

• Dal 01/05/2021 al 31/05/2021: 35 euro

• Dal 01/06/2021 al 30/06/2021: 40 euro


6- The submission form must be completed in all its parts and signed.

7- The jury will select the admitted works from among those received by the dates indicated above. Their names will be published on the website www.vogherafilmfestival.com. Authors and / or producers will receive an email if their works are selected. The judges' decision is unquestionable.

8- The association, even taking care of the care and conservation of the works received, is not responsible for potential theft, damage or loss of the same, from the moment of arrival to the days of the Festival.

9- By sending, the senders declare that they own the rights of the works, that the contents do not violate the laws in force and that the contents themselves are not defamatory. In any case, the authors relieve the organization of any possible loss, damage, liability, costs and obligations of any kind that may follow the projection of their films. SIAE issues and the payment of related rights, in the case of music performed by third parties, are the responsibility of the authors.

10- The submitted works will not be returned to the authors and will be kept as part of the Voghera Film Festival archive.

11- The authors and / or producers admitted to the final selection, previously informed by the members of the VFF staff, must send a copy of their works to be screened during the event (the appropriate format will also be communicated by the VFF staff).

12- The authors authorize the screenings of the films presented for educational purposes in schools, for cultural events and to promote the Festival. Various uses will be made in compliance with applicable copyright laws, subject to the authorization of the owners of the same rights.

13- The management can take decisions on issues not mentioned in this set of rules.

14- Admission to the Festival implies unconditional acceptance of these regulations. If there are problems related to the treatment of the works received, the competent authority is the forum of the city of Pavia. In case of objections on the meaning of the points in this list, the Italian version of the same prevails.
